iPhone Band
Apple recently announced the new iPhone SDK (software development kit) for third party application developers. Of course third party applications have been available for jailbroken iPhones for some time now among which were some virtual instruments. The Japanese band Denki Groove used only those virtual instruments on their iPhones en iPods Touch to create their own version of Smoky Bubbles as the video below shows. Apple just announced a complete new iPod line-up with the new iPod nano and brand new iPod touch as most interesting devices. The tiny iPod shuffle gets some new colors and the iPod we used to call the video iPod is now the iPod classic. There aren't many changes in these two devices. The Shuffle only has 5 new colors but will still have 1 GB of storage and will still sell at $79,-. Volkswagen and Apple worked together before. Back in 2005 it was the VW 'iFox' car; a Volkswagen Fox with integrated iPod support. And now it looks like the two could be around the drawing table together again. Just recently Volkswagen executive Martin Winterkorn visited Steve Jobs in Cupertino. iPhone using t-mobile
The iPhone was introduced in an exclusive association with the AT&T network. There were no possibilities to use the phone with other providers. Engagdet now shows a video of an unlocked iPhone that actually uses a T-Mobile SIM card and claims that it will completely function with any SIM card. This is good news for people outside the US for they can now buy an iPhone and use it with their own local networks.
