Often the most unusual phones don't get further than the drawing board and remain to be a concept. In the car industry this little gadget is old news: a remote control key. But somehow most people are still struggling with their shopping bags in one hand and about 20 keys in the other if they want to open the front door. LOCCA is selling a do-it-yourself kit so you can make any door swing open with the push of a button. It has a range of 50 meters and can store up to 19 keys. Nokia 7710
The Nokia 7710 is an under appreciated legend. In the two years that I owned this smartphone I only met two people who also had this phone and about three that knew of its existence.  The Nokia 7710 launched in 2004 and was way ahead of its time and in fact still has some better specs than its modern day competitors.
