Cell phones with built-in projector
Since a few years the size of a cell phone is determined by a balance between a compact mobile design and and the comfort of a large high resolution screen. You can't have both. Till now. We've seen concepts of roll-out screens before but Texas Instruments now shows us a cell phone with in-handset projector. The technology is still very much in development but changes are that, just like the cameras a few years ago, a built-in projector will be standard in future phones. The video below shows the projector in action.

I can imagine the major issue now to be power consumption, so as soon as cell phone batteries are able to project a 2 hour movie and still have enough juice left to make some calls we might expect this kind of technology in every day cell phones. As soon as we come across a commercial phone that incorporates this we'll report on it!
