Since a few years the size of a cell phone is determined by a balance between a compact mobile design and and the comfort of a large high resolution screen. You can't have both. Till now. We've seen concepts of roll-out screens before but Texas Instruments now shows us a cell phone with in-handset projector. A contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 is pretty extreme. But that's not the only amazing thing about the Sony OLED television. It's only 3 mm thin. Sony uses a brand new technology it developed called Organic LED. The technology was presented back in January but will hit retail this December in Japan. Volkswagen and Apple worked together before. Back in 2005 it was the VW 'iFox' car; a Volkswagen Fox with integrated iPod support. And now it looks like the two could be around the drawing table together again. Just recently Volkswagen executive Martin Winterkorn visited Steve Jobs in Cupertino.
