It’s always been man’s fascination to wonder what the future will look like. And now that we live in an age where never before there has been so much and rapid change in everyday life through invention and technology, this age old question makes you wonder even more. As did the French creator of these posters in 1910. These were his predictions of the year 2000, made more than a hundred years ago. cell phone projector
Since a few years the size of a cell phone is determined by a balance between a compact mobile design and and the comfort of a large high resolution screen. You can't have both. Till now. We've seen concepts of roll-out screens before but Texas Instruments now shows us a cell phone with in-handset projector. Sony OLED extreme thin HDTV
A contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 is pretty extreme. But that's not the only amazing thing about the Sony OLED television. It's only 3 mm thin. Sony uses a brand new technology it developed called Organic LED. The technology was presented back in January but will hit retail this December in Japan. According to Engadet it has something to do with competition between Sony and Samsung because Samsung publicly doubted if Sony would be able to produce the new technology before the end of the year. (...)  read more

Volkswagen and Apple worked together before. Back in 2005 it was the VW 'iFox' car; a Volkswagen Fox with integrated iPod support. And now it looks like the two could be around the drawing table together again. Just recently Volkswagen executive Martin Winterkorn visited Steve Jobs in Cupertino. It was a German magazine that first said the meeting had been about a brand new iCar but according to spokesmen it's to early to have those kind of conclusions.
