GlideTV remote control hand
Like the Boxee Box remote control showed us, a remote for a media center (or HTPC) only needs a few basic buttons. Unfortunately the Boxee remote is not sold separately but the GlideTV Navigator might be a good alternative. It's a small remote control that fits in your hand, connects through a wireless USB dongle and let's you control all the basis functions of a media center. Touch activated faucet
No more smudgy handles with this touch activated faucet. Simply touch to activate and touch again to deactivate. The video below shows the magic. It looks like a very simple and clever idea, and judging by the video they also took in account situations like moving the spout sideways without it activating the water flow. It has an internal memory of 32 Mb, a 2.4 inch LCD screen with a resolution of 320 x 240 and supports JPG, BMP and GIF (...)  read more
Blackboard clock
Simple ideas are often the best. Why not combine a clock with a note board? This Eco-Artware clock is made of blackboard material and has a little chalk holder along the bottom. Might be useful in the kitchen (like the image proposes) but I can imagine making more use out of the clock/chalkboard combination by putting certain time related notes on certain parts of the day. For example "write blog post" on the place where the hour hand hits 4 (...)  read more
