Thankfully more and more technology gets wireless which can save you a lot of time trying to hide wires. All we now need is wireless power (self charging batteries of some sort). First of all this kitchen gadget is a stainless steel clock with digital backlit LCD display that shows the time or the room temperature. But the real gizmo value shows when you slide of the top plate of the clock. When you lay it flat on the countertop it's a scale. LED cubes clock
This alarm clock consists of four separate digit cubes of 1'' by 1.5'' connected to each other by a cable. The cubes can move around independently so you can position them any way you like. Suck UK sells two versions of the alarm clock. One in black and one in red. It's a nice designer toy but it comes at a price: 75 pounds which is about $ 150,-. Panasonic heated rug
It's hardly the time of year for a home gizmo like this but Panasonic announced an electrically heated (stain resisting) carpet. The temperature of the rug is adjustable and can be heated to up to 114F / 46C. It's probably not a real power saver so you might want to remember to turn if off when you're not around.
