Playing Shooting Rang on Wii Play (I still call it Duck Hunt) gets an extra dimension with this Wii accessory. At the E3 2007 conference Nintendo proudly presented its
Wii Zapper; an accessory to turn your Wiimote into a light gun. But many were disappointed by the design because you can't move the Wii remote and the Nunchuk separately and the trigger on the Tommy-gun-like Zapper is on the front handle which just doesn't feel right.
The Piranha W14 is a 25 euro ($ 34,-) piece of plastic in which you can slide your Wiimote. It's inspired by the .50 Desert Eagle so it's a handgun design. The back of the gun can flip open to connect a Nunchuk so you can basically play any Wii game that uses the B button for shooting. The only downside is that the A button on top of the Wiimote is hard to reach while playing, but that's probably a problem every gun-like Wii accessory has. Even though it's completely made of plastic and the spring behind the trigger makes kind of a squeaky sound, it's still pretty sturdy and a lot of fun to shoot around with.
It's available for shipping in Europe on
