Temperature / color changing kettle

Information is everything! So whatever use you may find for it, it's always nice to get an indication on how hot the water in your kettle is. The Kenwood response kettle shows you the temperature in colors. Assuming the kettles in this picture are organised from cold to boiling it will transform from light blue to red. It also has an extra  switch to maintain an 80 degrees celsius (apparently the ideal temperature to make tea). The kettle is part of Kenwood's 21 century breakfast set which also includes a toaster.
